Karen LaMonte






While doing research on glass casting for a very special new design *shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!* i fell into the sometimes heinous, but sometimes take your face off melt your soul breathtaking world of contemporary cast glass art. While there, I discovered the calming and other worldly work of Karen LaMonte. Her life size glass casts sit illuminated like ghosts atop their pedestals and make me want to cry tears of pure magic.

Ernst Haeckel










Ernst Haeckel was a German biologist, naturalist, philospher, physician, professor and artist. He discovered thousands of new species, mapped a genealogical tree linking all life forms, and coined terms such as ecology, phylum and the kingdom Protista. And in his down time, he made these.

Camila do Rosário

I was looking for color inspiration for these thread and chain necklaces i'm working on and ran into Camila do Rosário's work on a great blog called Color Collective, which if you are a designer and aren't hip to you should get so. Anyways... this just blew my mind... i'm in love. And so inspired...
